Ceilings in buildings with a wooden frame and beam structure

The spacing of floor beams in a building with a frame-and-beam structure is: 60-90 cm. For this reason, the plasterboard ceiling sheathing is made on an additional support grid made of wooden laths. Instead of wooden battens, it is possible to use special system solutions for suspending plasterboard ceilings.

Thermal and acoustic insulation of the ceiling in a frame-and-beam building is made of soft glass or rock wool, placed between the beams. This insulation should reach up to the outer - made of plywood – wall sheathing.

The use of additional insulation made of pressed glass wool, spread under a dry screed, allows to significantly improve the acoustic parameters of the ceiling (footstep noise reduction).
