Facade made of exposed concrete

The new façade made of exposed concrete is to be painted. During the examination of the substrate, residues of formwork oil were noticed on the concrete surface. No other defects were found.
Please list the activities related to painting the facade and the materials used. Please justify the use of these materials. We can assume, that the appropriate scaffolding already exists

The steps for applying the coating on the facade concrete are as follows:

1) removing the remains of oil for lubricating the formwork with water with the addition of a surfactant;

2) priming with a plaster agent;

3) pre-painting with dispersion paint for the façade, impervious to carbon dioxide;

4) surface painting with a dispersion paint for the facade, impervious to carbon dioxide.

Justification for the choice of materials:

Formwork oils are re-emulsified in water, to which – to improve miscibility – surfactant is added. This allows the oils to be removed relatively easily. Some formwork oils can be removed in a salmiak bath, which is a surfactant.

It is planned to use dispersion paints for painting the façade, because these paints, unlike silicate, provide effective protection against carbon dioxide. In this way, the alkaline reaction of the concrete is ensured, and therefore also protection of the reinforcing steel against corrosion. Solvent facade paints can also be used, but due to the solvents they contain, they are more harmful to the environment.
